In my opinion, Quebec City and its environs are the most beautiful and interesting stops on a Canada/New England cruise. In 2009, Carnival Cruise Lines will offer three cruises from New York that focus exclusively on the province of Quebec.
Sailing round trip from New York, the 102,000-ton Carnival Liberty will sail on nine day itineraries that include a 16-hour stay in Quebec City, an eight hour visit to Baie Comeau and a visit to Havre St. Pierre for a visit to the Parks Canada Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve. Carnival Victory will spend a full day cruising the St. Lawrence River, home to numerous whales. The nine-day Quebec Cruises are scheduled June 25, July 23 and Aug. 20, 2009.
Carnival also offers four- and five-day eastern Canada voyages and seven-day fall foliage cruises aboard Carnival Triumph from June to August. In addition, Carnival Miracle sails on eight-day Caribbean cruises from New York from April to October.
