*** Princess Cruises has announced that Caribbean Princess will return to New York in Summer 2009 for a second season of the line’s popular roundtrip sailings to Bermuda and the Caribbean.  The ship will then change directions in late summer to head north for a season of roundtrip Canada & New England sailings.  Caribbean Princess’ summer season from New York will feature 10 departures between May 24 and August 13, 2009.  The nine-day voyages sail roundtrip on an itinerary that includes Bermuda (West End), San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk.  Caribbean Princess will also offer one seven-day Bermuda & Eastern Caribbean sailing from San Juan to New York, departing May 17, calling at St. Thomas, Antigua and Bermuda.

*** Carnival Cruise Lines and St. Louis, Mo.-based The Elvis Cruise, LLC, announced the second “Elvis Cruise.”  This year, it will be a four-day voyage aboard the Carnival Fantasy in August 2008.   “The Elvis Cruise” will sail round-trip New Orleans and visit Cozumel, Mexico, departing Thursday, August 28, and returning Monday, September 1, 2008. The one-of-a-kind voyage will be hosted by Jerry Schilling, longtime friend and confidante of the late Elvis Presley, and author of the book, Me and a Guy Named Elvis.  Entertainment during the cruise will include live shows from artists who performed with Elvis and have been recognized for continuing his musical legacy, including the TCB Band, the Imperials, the Dempseys, Ronnie McDowell, Terry Mike Jeffrey & Band, Andy Childs, Ruby Wilson and others.

*** NCL Announces 2009 Bermuda cruises.  Cashing in on the popularity of Bermuda, Norwegian Cruise Line announced three ships will visit the island in 2009.  From New York, Norwegian Dawn will sail on seven-day cruises from May 3 through Oct. 25.  Norwegian Majesty will cruise from Baltimore, Charleston and Philadelphia on five- and seven-day departures while Norwegian Spirit will make one-week voyages from Boston to Bermuda.
