Ive been on cruises of almost every cruiseline. For me, the best was Costa Cruises, the food, the activities, just everything was awesome! I was allowed the three thimes ive cruised there to bring alcohol and soft drinks aboard.

DCL allows you to carry on alcohol (and any other drinks) onboard as long as you carry it on yourself and it's in a soft bag.

Some cruiselines such as Carnival actually allow anyone over 21 to bring one bottle of 750ml or less of wine or champagne onto the ship. They charge a corking fee if you choose to drink it in the dining room but if you choose to drink it anywhere else on board there is no fee.
