Most of my cruises have been on larger ships, in the 1500 to 2500 passenger range. This has been mostly dictated by cost, not by preference. I did sail on Azamara Journey last summer, however, to the Baltic. Docking on the river in St. Petersburg, in the middle of the city, was a great advantage. I didn't find the level of service, however, to be markedly different from the level I am used to on larger ships. This is, perhaps, contrary to majority opinion. I look forward, one of these days, to sailing on Seabourn or Silversea and having my opinion changed
