When Royal Caribbean’s new 6300-passenger Allure of the Seas debuts next December, she’ll  be the official launch venue for a joint venture between Royal Caribbean International and DreamWorks Animation.

The largest ship afloat will be the first vessel in Royal Caribbean’s fleet to carry popular Dreamworks’ celebrity characters including Shrek, Fiona and Puss In Boots of “Shrek;” Alex, Mort, and the Penguins of “Madagascar;” Po of “Kung Fu Panda” and Hiccup of “How to Train Your Dragon” will engage guests of all ages, day and night, with unique experiences, including exclusive special events and energetic parades, as well as through interactive character meals in the main dining room, and of course plenty of photo opportunities.

RCI Ships Featuring Dreamworks

After launching on Allure of the Seas, the DreamWorks Animation-themed activities and amenities will be incorporated into Royal Caribbean’s renowned entertainment programs on Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas, with some of the studio’s most popular feature films – “Shrek,” “Madagascar,” “Kung Fu Panda” and “How to Train Your Dragon” – anchoring the integrations.

Dreamworks for RCI Kids

Royal Caribbean’s younger guests who choose to participate in the complimentary award-winning Adventure Ocean children’s program will relish in an exhilarating new lineup of activities, games and adventures rooted in the popular DreamWorks Animation movies.

3D Dreamworks Movies

Another feature that distinguishes Allure from her identical sister-ship Oasis of the Seas is the first seagoing theater with 3D movies in the ships’ theaters for watching Dreamworks movies.

I’ll tell you a secret:  even though I’m something of an adult, my second favorite movie of 2009 is Madagascar 2.  So I’ll be thrilled to hang out with the penguins.   Any fans out there?  Am I the only adult who loves to hang out with characters?
