Holland America Line will be offering passengers free digital photo workshops powered by Microsoft Windows starting on the Amsterdam and Oosterdam, followed by the Westerdam this June, the Eurodam in July and expanding fleet wide within 18 months.
The first session, “Just Shoot Me”, is a 50-minute seminar that provides tips and tricks on how to take the best pictures and introduces passengers to onboard editing and movie-making resources available on the cruise.
Passengers will then break out into 50-minute workshops devoted to downloading, cropping and color-correcting pictures; editing techniques such as adding movies and titles, publishing a DVD and uploading photos to a personal Web page. Participants will also learn how to set up a blog and design photo cards.
Since other cruise lines, including Oceania Cruises, charges for similar seminars, Holland America should attract passengers eager learn more advanced photo and film techniques.
Would a program like this sway you to cruise with Holland America?

1I dont think it would influence me in choosing Holland America for just that option but it sounds a great extra they are offering. We all want to make the most of our photos these days.
If I had to choose between two lines offering the same itineraries then maybe this would sway me to book with HAL over the other.
