ship-dining.jpgWhile most people don’t consider mass market cruising synonymous with fine dining, Princess Cruises is launching a new program that will deliver a gourmet experience.  The “Chef’s Table”, scheduled to debut on most vessels in the fleet in early 2008, includes a galley tour during the height of dinner preparation.  Limited to ten people, passengers will tour the kitchen with the ship’s executive chef while sampling champagne, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a special multi-course tasting dinner paired with select wines in the dining room.

Participants will be able to discuss menu preparation with the executive chef followed by a multi-course meal not available elsewhere on the ship.  Up to ten passengers per night may sample the “Chef’s Table” experience, at a cost of $75 per person.

Is the Chef’s Table program something you’d be interested in taking?  If you’ve sailed on Princess, how do you rate the food?
