According to Associated Press, roughly 100 passengers sailing aboard Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas have been struck by Norovirus during a cruise around Northern Europe. This is the fourth outbreak aboard the ship in 2010: In March two episodes of Norovirus were reported on separate voyages off the coast of Brazil. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) also cites an incident aboard Vision of the Seas in February.
Multiple outbreaks of the virus were also reported in March aboard Celebrity Cruises’ Mercury on three sailings from Charleston. Celebrity Cruises, which is owned by Royal Caribbean, was forced to cut ports and and shorten cruises several times.

2Just returned from 10days aboard Vision of the Seas, I was one of many to contract the illness, I was told that because it wasn’t the beginning of the holiday it was a different strain from the virus from the previous week, surely it’s the same virus, but it takes a while to manifest in a new set of passengers, they are so fixated on using the hand gel’s and antibacterial sprays everywhere, but do not seem to realise that the bugs are becoming resistant to these things, they need steam cleaning without chemicals, the ship is actually very dirty, although to the naked eye it looks fine, I spoke to a lot of people who had the illness, but would not report it because they did not want to be confined to the cabin, because that is not stopping it either, but they don’t seem to care, because once your holiday is over, it’s goodbye, and on to the next set of unsuspecting travellers, but if you do report it they give you a letter to say you will receive a discount off of your next cruise.
How Disgusting is That!!!!
