I've been on 2 cruises (RCI and Disney) and we are planning our third (Celebrity). This past year, my boyfriend and I decided to go to an all-inclusive resort instead of a cruise. At 21 and 27 years old this was a cost-effective trip. The food was mediocre, but the alcohol was free! I think these cruise lines need to start giving incentives for people who are budget-conscious. After having cruised onboard I must say that I did not have a problem paying for the extras. The cupcakes were quite large and beautifully prepared and were quite good. Better than many of the cupcake boutiques in Ft. Lauderdale ( where I am from and even less expensive). As for the other charges, I also did not have a problem paying a slight surcharge for the specialty restaurants. They were all excellent. $30 for a 5 course gourmet meal and service was flawless.
