ruby-princess-float-out.jpgRuby Princess, currently under construction in Italy, reached a significant construction milestone this weekend, the float out.   This is when the dry building dock is flooded with water, the ship floats for the first time and is moved to a nearby outfitting dock where final construction and interior finishing will take place.

The 113,000-ton Ruby Princess is a sister ship to Emerald and Crown Princess and scheduled to begin inaugural sailings next November with a series of Western Caribbean cruises.
